Munnar
Munnar is one of the
best place to visit and is most popular hill station for holiday destination
in India, it is an town and hill station in the southwestern of
the state of Kerala, India. The name Munnar is
believed to mean “three rivers”, referring to the location at the confluence of the Madhurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers.
Munnar is located around 1600 m above sea level, in the Western Ghats range of
mountains. This town is situated on the Kannan Devan Hills village in Devikulam
taluk and is the largest panchayat in the Idukki in Kerala. Munnar is the
adventures hill station, where you can enjoy lot things like paragliding, treks
to Anaimudi (which is highest peak of South India’s) and hikes originating at
the confluence of three mountain streams. There famous Christ Church, built by
the British in 1910. There you can enjoy the boating, day to the Periyar
Wildlife Sanctuary and many more things.
