4.Queenstown



Queenstown is a scenic town in the South Island of New Zealand. Queenstown is a resort town in Otago in the south-west of New Zealand’ South Island. This city is built around an inlet called Queenstown Bay on Lake Wakatipu, it is in Z-shaped lake formed by glacial processes, has spectacular views of nearby mountains such as The Remarkables, Cecil Peak, Walter Peak and just above the town, Ben Lomond and Queenstown Hill. 5.Rotorua




Rotorua is known as the thermal wonderland of New Zealand. Its hot springs and geysers have attracted to tourists. Rotorua sits on the shores of Lake Rotorua, in the Bay of Plenty area of the North Island of New Zealand. The city is in the heart of the North Island is just km south of Tauranga and Auckland is 230 km southeast, is most popular city of New Zealand. 

In Rotorua there many Lakes nearby. The tourist can enjoy the water activities such as fishing, boating and white water rafting. Rotorua is a place of the geothermal hot spot. There are numerous natural vents, hot pools and other geothermal features in and around the city. There you get a natural eruption of steam, hot water and mud occasionally occur in new locations. Rotorua is in the middle of the Taupo Volcanic Zone, whose name is after Lake Taupo, the largest volcano in the area. In Rotorua there are four major volcanic calderas, which now contain lakes, and many volcanoes are surrounding the area. From Rotorua to Auckland it takes a 3 - hrs drive. This is the best place for holidays to enjoy and have fun.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
The name Rotorua comes from Maori, the full name being Te Rotorua-nui-a-Kahumatamomoe, roto means lake and rua two, Rotorua thus means ‘second lake’ Kahumatamomoe was the uncle of the Maori chief Ihenga. All the city is connected with the Rotorua Caldera and nearby Mount Tarawera. The name also means the equally appropriate ‘crate Lake’.

6. Otago

Otago is the famous state of the South Island of New Zealand.
