Ladakh, the word means “land of high passes” is located in the state of Jammu & Kashmir that lies between the Kunlun mountain range in the north and the main Great Himalayas. And it is protected by four mountains ranges, namely Himalayan, Zanskar, Ladakh and Karakoram. It is inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. This place is most famous for trekking and adventure feat. Many people from around the world come here to experience the thrill, chill and the fantastic surroundings. This place is surrounded by a labyrinth of extremely elevated flurry capped peaks and the principal glaciers exterior to the glacial area. The water course of Ladakh is Indus which penetrates India from Tibet at Ldemchok, opening in close proximity to Mt.Kailash. 1. Leh



Leh is a capital of Ladakh, is a land of Monks and Monasteries. The town is dominated by its imposing 17th century royal palace. This place is famous for trekking and people visit here for trekking. Leh’s is famous for nine story palace is in a state of disrepair, despite ongoing bouts of redonstruction. Leh also has some dine old gompas, including the Namgyal Tsemo and the Soma. And some famous attraction around Leh are Tikse Monastery, Stoke Palace, Shey, Spitok Gompa, and Khardung La (Pass).

2. Kargil


Kargil is located 204 kms from Srinagar in the west and 234 kms from Leh in the east. Kargil is located on the bank of the Suru River which flows at around 10,000ft. high. Here Buddhist religion are followed from 14 century AD. The town at the junction of famous silk route and caravans from China, Yakkand, Afghanistan, and Indian plains used to go through Kargil in the Past.


3. Zanskar


Zanskar valley lies to the south west of Leh, surrounded by the Himalayan and Zangskar ranges. Zanskar Range is a mountain range in the Indian state of Jammu Kashmir that separates Zanskar from Ladakh. In winter all the high passes get close and the river freeze on the surface. Zanskaris walk along the frozon river to reach the Indus River in Nimoo village, which is known as the ChadarTrek.

4. Changthang


Changthang is the most for trekking. It is high altitude plateau in western and northern Tibet extending into southeastern Ladakh. And it is the land of nomads located in the east of Leh on the Chinese border. The area is around 14600m above sea level. Changthang is also known as Rupsho valley. Here the famous attractions are Changpa nomads, wild animals, lakes and rare birds. The famous attraction around are Tomoriri Lake and Pangong Lake.

5. Dha Hanu


Dha (Dah) and Hanu is the two village of the Brokpa of the Ladakh district of the state of Jammu & Kashmir, in India. Dha Hanu is situated to the south west of Leh, around 163 kms, it passing through the beautiful villages of Kaltsey, Domkhar, Skurbuchan and Achinathang. There are many small villages but only two villages of Sha and Hanu are open for tourist. It is on lower altitude and Dha Hanu is warmer than Leh. To stay in Dha and Haun don’t have hotels or guest houses. But many tourism companies do offer tented accommodation.
