What if there is a tax on sugar? Will it help you to lose weight? Amusing, don’t you think? Well, there indeed is a campaign to levy tax on sugar to put off consumption of sugared soft drinks. It aims to curb childhood obesity by reducing the availability of processed junk food and soft drinks. The study states that even if kids exercise for an hour daily, it is of no help. This is so because when kids eat a packet of chips with soft drink their calorie intake shoots through the roof. It makes children prone to heart diseases, type 2 diabetes and stroke. So some people believe that tax on sugar may boost health universally.
